Working with the team at Artisan on the plan to totally redesign our walled city garden was a joy. They combine practical, hands-on skill with a passion for quality materials and thoughtful design. The attention to detail of all the hard landscaping works required was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this team of young, enthusiastic, skilled and professional artisans to anybody.

Artisan completed a major landscaping project at our one-acre new build site in Cheltenham. We had not tackled anything on this scale before so were quite daunted by what was involved. Will and his team were the perfect partners to take us through the process providing innovative design input and project management throughout. From a green field site Artisan achieved an incredible result both complementing the build style in their use of interesting materials and providing a planting plan that quickly softened the feel of the garden with a mix of mature trees, some more formal planting and areas of meadow. Very quickly the garden and new house have settled into the surrounding area and look amazing. We were particularly impressed with the professionalism and quality of the whole Artisan team who were able to provide a broad range of skills across all trades from construction of a beautiful pool and patio area through to excellent carpentry such as the design of a ‘floating’ cedar topped Cotswold stone bench and intricate cedar fencing and gates. The whole team are friendly, diligent and highly capable operators who will always go the extra mile in terms of quality and standards. The finishing is exemplary which is a testament to Will and his team. I have no hesitation in recommending Artisan and believe they are an exceptional group of individuals with a real desire to achieve the best outcomes for their clients. 

Excellent attention to detail and every element of the project was considered

We had such a great experience with Artisan Landscapes from start to finish. The whole process was genuinely enjoyable. Everyone we worked with, from the designers to the build team and gardeners, was a genuine pleasure to have around. They were always friendly, considerate, and clearly very knowledgeable, which made a big difference day to day. We gave them quite the challenge of a significant build phase with no side access where everything had to be brought through the house. They never once grumbled about this and our house was pristine throughout- I genuinely don’t know how they managed that! They really took the time to talk us through all the options and make sure we felt confident in every decision. The end result has completely exceeded our expectations- it looks even better than we imagined, and it’s a space we know we’ll enjoy for many years to come. The space feels really considered, expertly designed using beautiful materials and with a contemporary but timeless feel to the planting and spaces. Our garden feels twice the size, with zoned areas that lead seamlessly from one to another to be enjoyed at different times of the day and season. We’re delighted with it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
